Travel Apps on Your Phone

Travel Apps For Your Phone:  I use several travel apps on my phone. Of course, I have the apps from the airlines that I use. Currently I have Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. I also loaded the overseas airline apps that I use so that I can easily check in overseas. I have added Lufthansa, Swiss, South African Airways and British Airlines as well.

In addition to these, I have Tripit, Gate Guru, Seat Guru, Flight Search, Saramento Airport Pro, Kayak, Trip Advisor, Viator, RATP, renfe, London Transport, Barcelona Metro, London Tube Status, BART, Flight Minder, Skype, WiFi Calling, Big Buss Tours, Fare Buzz, Hilton Honors, Marriott, IHG and many more.

Overall, the app that I use the most would be Tripit and the app for the airline that I am flying on that particular trip.

With tripit, I load my airline itinerary as well as info about all of the stops along the way. It will automatically generate maps and directions for each stop. A great app.

If I am travelling in the states, there are two apps that I love. One is Waze which I like better than the other moving map GPS apps, and iExit so that I know about upcoming services along the interstate.

Since I am an Android user, I get my apps from the Play Store. You can find similar and sometimes the same app available for the iPhone if you are an iPhone user.

I also have the flashlight that came with my phone because some restaraunts are a little dark and I have the magnifier because my eyes are not as good as they once were.

You will be amazed at how many useful apps you will find to make your trip more enjoyable.
